The students have been training hard, the excitement is building, and soon it will be time to come together for our 2026 House Athletics Carnivals, held across three action-packed days in September:
We’ve brought together all the key information you’ll need to plan your visit, support your House and enjoy three fantastic days of participation, competition and House spirit.
Every student belongs to one of our four Houses – Argyle (Blue), Beeliar (Green), Nara (Purple) or Swan (Gold).
Students, families and supporters are encouraged to wear their House colours proudly, fill the spectator areas with colour and cheer on their team throughout the Carnivals.

We recommend students wear their House Polo Shirt and add colourful House accessories. School hats are required throughout the day, although students may remove them while competing in events.
Please remember to apply sunscreen regularly and ensure all clothing and belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Our P&C volunteers will be at the main school gates (kiss and ride, beside front office) on both junior and senior carnival days this week with coloured hairspray and bows.
All for a good coin donation to The Riva P&C! Come and see us between 8-8:30.
Our Carnivals are designed to maximise student participation, inclusion and achievement. Students are actively involved throughout the day, earning points for their House across a wide range of events, while our rotation format helps families plan their visit around the events they most want to see.
Event programs and schedules are provided as a guide. While we will do our best to remain on schedule, event times may shift as each Carnival progresses.
Lunch orders for both carnival days have now closed.
Junior Carnival lunches will be delivered to classrooms following the conclusion of the Carnival.
Senior Carnival lunches will be delivered to House Bays at the scheduled lunch break.
A Juice Station, Coffee Van and Ice Cream Van will also be onsite to add to the Carnival atmosphere.

Please note that these vendors are for parents and spectators only. Students will not be served directly. Parents may purchase items and give them to their children during designated breaks.
Our House Carnivals are regular school days, and students remain under the supervision and care of school staff throughout the day.
Parents and spectators are asked to remain within designated spectator areas and not enter student House Bays.
At the conclusion of the Junior Carnival, all students will return to their classrooms. If you wish to collect your child early, please do so from their classroom. Students cannot be collected directly from the oval.
During the Senior Carnival, students may sit with their families during the scheduled lunch break.
Dedicated spectator areas will be established around the Carnival to give families a great view of the action while keeping event and track areas clear and safe. Please remain within these areas and supervise younger children carefully.
When parking, please help us look after our neighbours and keep the surrounding streets safe:
In line with Interschool Sporting Association rules, shoes must be worn at all times during events. Barefoot participation is not permitted.
Our House Carnivals are a celebration of participation, effort, achievement, teamwork and House spirit. We want every student to have the opportunity to compete, contribute and enjoy the experience.
